A Rainy Outdoor Wedding

Outdoor weddings can be tricky in the spring. Will there be sun or will there be rain? Despite the rain in the forecast, Skye and Kula managed to stay optimistic. As the day unfolded, the rain came and went…until the ceremony! As guests took their seats, dark clouds loomed overhead, but the couple remained undeterred. My couple loved this outdoor venue, and despite the forecast, they were committed to their vision. As the ceremony began, the first drops of rain began to fall, gently at first, then more persistently. As soon as Skye approached the end of the aisle large drops were falling. Umbrellas started to open, and next, the heavens above opened wide and poured such heavy rain everyone was running for cover in the reception tent! It was indeed a rainy outdoor wedding.

The wedding planning team from Royal Wren Events rushed everyone inside the reception tent where they created the backup ceremony within minutes! I know this isn’t what the bride and groom had planned, but they committed their love for one another and it was a beautiful ceremony for two amazing people!

Black & White

Weddings are often painted in dreamy pastels and soft hues, but there’s something incredibly striking about this black and white palette. When you add in pink accents, you create a modern yet timeless aesthetic that captivates the eye. Skye and Kula’s wedding, held on a very rainy day, was a perfect blend of elegance and spontaneity, reminding us that love truly shines through any storm.

A beautifully constructed stone altar stands on the secluded grounds. The stone texture adds a touch of organic beauty, and suspended above the altar is a stunning chandelier, bringing a touch of glamour to the natural setting. This perfectly described the couple. A sophisticated pair with such playful wit, their wedding day had touches of the same. Naturally, a wedding on 4/20 brings to mind a laid back couple. The groom has a fascination with bigfoot, who makes an appearance on the wedding cake and cufflinks! The stunning bride’s sophisticated style and playfulness were seamlessly styled in black, white and pinks.

If you’re facing a similar rainy outdoor wedding challenge, don’t be afraid to go with the flow and take advantage of all of the rain free moments!
